마음챙김이 정신건강에 미치는 효과

  • 본 연구는 마음챙김(Mindfulness)의 심리치료적 과정을 기술해 보고 현대인의 정신적 질병인 우울증에 대한 마음챙김의 치료효과를 검증하는데 있다. 마음챙김은 최근 미국을 중심으로 심리학과 정신의학 분야에서 크게 주목을 받고 있는 심리치료 프로그램이다. 마음챙김은 일상생활에서 well-being을 추구하는 정신건강에 효과가 있으며, 정신적 스트레스 감소와 임상치료에서 우울, 불안, 강박, 중독, PTSD, ADHD 등 각종 정신병리의 증상완화에도 치료에 효과가 있다고 밝혀졌다. 본 연구는 신경정신과에서 의뢰받은 3명의 내담자들을 대상으로 마음챙김 심리치료를 실시하고 그 결과를 분석하여 우울증에 대한 치료효과를 알아보았다. 내담자의 특성은 장기간 우울증을 겪고 있으며 약물을 복용하고 있는 50대 여성을 대상으로 하였고, 그 결과 마음챙김은 우울증으로 인한 우울감과 불안감, 반추적 성향, 정서조절 곤란 정도에서 감소되는 효과가 있었으며, 정신건강의 긍정적인 지표인 마음챙김 기술 척도는 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 마음챙김이 인지행동치료 뿐만 아니라 약물치료를 대체하는 정신적 치료법으로도 효과가 있다는 시사점이 있다.

The Effect of Teacher Mindfulness on Job Stress and Burnout (교사의 직무스트레스와 소진 간 관계에서 교사 마음챙김의 효과)

  • Background: The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of teacher mindfulness in teaching settings on job stress and burnout. Methods: Based on the previous studies, this study established a research model in which the teachers' job stress affects their burnout by the mediation of mindfulness, and verified the relationship between them using the teacher mindfulness scale in teaching situations. Results: First, female teachers perceived more job stress and experienced higher burnout than male teachers. Second, teacher's job stress and burnout showed high positive correlation, and mindfulness showed high negative correlation with job stress and burnout. Third, it was verified that teacher mindfulness significantly mediated the effect of job stress on burnout. Conclusions: This study suggests that teachers' mindfulness is effective in managing their job stress and preventing burnout.

Moderating Effects of Mindfulness on the Relationship between Mental Health and College Life Adjustment (대학생들의 정신건강과 대학생활적응 간의 관계에서 마음챙김의 조절효과)

  • This study analyzed the moderating effect of mindfulness on the relationship between college students' mental health and college life adjustment. The study subjects were 246 college students. Data were analyzed using ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, the group with high satisfaction regarding their major showed significantly higher mindfulness and college life adjustment than the group with low satisfaction. Second, ta negative correlation was found between mental health(hypochondriasis, depression, psychopathic deviate, paranoia, schizophrenia, introversion) and mindfulness. Third, a significant negative correlation was found between mental health (depression, psychopathic deviate, paranoia, psychasthenia, schizophrenia, introversion) and college life adjustment. Fourth, mindfulness positively impacted college life adaptation. Fifth, mindfulness also had a significant moderating effect on the relationship between mental health (depression, psychopathic deviate, psychasthenia, schizophrenia, introversion) and college life adjustment. Thus, this study focused on the role and importance of mindfulness as a way to improve mental health and adjustment among college students.

An Empirical Study on the Importance of Mindfulness Practice in the Success of Information Systems Outsourcing (정보시스템 아웃소싱 성공에 있어서 마음챙김 실천의 중요성에 대한 실증연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to recognize an importance of its practice by rightly understanding mindfulness, and to find one method to solve the success of Information Systems outsourcing through mindfulness practice. To do this, this paper proposes and analyzes a theoretical model consisting of factors such as contract completion, relationship strength, mindfulness practice, trust level and Information Systems outsourcing success. Data was collected using the survey method, and was analyzed using the PLS method. The results of this empirical study are summarized as followings. First, mindfulness practice has positive effects on Information Systems outsourcing success as well as trust level. Second, both contract completion and relationship strength have positive effects on mindfulness practice. The findings will provide basic data for understanding the role of mindfulness practice in Information Systems outsourcing success.

The Effect of Mentalization and Mindfulness on the Relationships between Secure Attachment and Borderline Personality Traits (안정 애착과 경계선 성격특성의 관계에서 정신화와 마음챙김의 매개효과)

  • The present study was aimed to verify the mediating effect of mentalization and mindfulness in the relationship between secure attachment and borderline personality traits. To this purpose, a self-reporting survey were conducted to universities and general companies in Seoul and Gyeonggi, so the final 358 data were used for analysis. Questionnaires including attachment type, mentalization, mindfulness and borderline personality traits were administered. A data was analyzed by a descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, and a structural equation model using SPSS and AMOS statistic program. A summary of the research results are as follows. First, in the results of the correlation analysis on the primary factors, secure attachment, mentalization, mindfulness and borderline personality traits had a significant correlation. Second, a dual mediation effect of mentalization and mindfulness was shown in the relationship between attachment and borderline personality traits. An secure attachment effect on the borderline personality traits through mentalization and mindfulness. Lastly, the significance and limitations of this study was discussed, as well as proposals for future research.

The Effects of Mindfulness on Perceived Stress and Psychological Well-Being in Parents with 3 to 5-Year-Old Children (마음챙김이 유아기 자녀를 둔 부모의 스트레스 및 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향)

  • Background: The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of daily mindfulness in parents with 3 to 5-year-old children on their stress and psychological well-being. Methods: Based on the previous studies, this study established a research model in which parent's mindfulness affects their psychological well-being by the mediation of stress, and verified the relationship between them using 283 parents data set. Results: First, mindfulness and psychological well-being in the ages of 40s was significantly higher than the 20s~30s. Second, parent's mindfulness and psychological well-being showed high positive correlation, and stress showed high negative correlation with mindfulness and psychological well-being. Third, it was verified that mindfulness not only directly affects psychological well-being but also indirectly influences psychological well-being by reducing their stress. Conclusions: This study suggests that daily mindfulness in parents with 3 to 5-year-old children is effective in managing their stress and improving their psychological well-Being.

  • The purpose of this study is to research the design solutions that should be taken into consideration when developing mobile applications of Mindfulness Training. We aim to provide basic UI / UX design guidances for being effectiveness of mobile application of Mindfulness Training. For this purpose, We research in various aspects. Base on this, We select an approach and apply the application screen prototypes. We suggest some points for to be considered in the development of UI / IX design for mobile applications for Mindfulness Training based on obtained knowledge through this research process.

  • The study empirically investigates the effect of mindfulness on their job satisfaction and organizational commitment of flight attendants focused on the mediating effect of job satisfaction between mindfulness and organizational commitment. Data was collected at Incheon and Jeju international airport from flight attendants working on international flight of domestic airlines. The results of this study reveal that concentration among the sub-factors of mindfulness had positive effects on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. And job satisfaction partially mediated between the sub-factor of mindfulness and organizational commitment. In order for flight attendants to avoid habitual behaviors and to increase concentration while on duty, it is important to work together to remind one another of next step of service that immediately follows and complete a checklist at the end of each step of service.

The Effects of Loving-Kindness Meditation Intervention with Tea on the Mindfulness, Resilience, and Stress of College Students (자비명상이 대학생들의 마음챙김, 회복 탄력성 및 스트레스에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the effect of loving-kindness meditation intervention on the mindfulness, resilience and stress of college students. Thirty students not receiving any training in meditation intervention were randomly divided into meditation (15 subjects) and control (15 subjects)groups. The meditation group underwent meditation for 10 weeks, once a week, about 80 minutes each time. The results revealed that the experimental group showed significant improvement effect on mindfulness, resilience, and stress compared to the control group. It was concluded that loving-kindness meditation can effectively improve mindfulness, resilience and stress for college students.

The Mediating Effect of Mindfulness in the Relationship between Self-Esteem and Burnout among Clinical Nurses (임상간호사의 자아존중감과 소진의 관계에서 마음챙김의 매개효과)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of mindfulness on the relationships between self-esteem and burnout among nurses. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional survey design was conducted using purposive sampling of 132 nurses at two university hospitals in J city and C city. It was analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 20.0 program. Results: There were significant correlations among self-esteem, mindfulness and burnout. Self-esteem and mindfulness were negatively correlated with burnout among nurses. Mindfulness acts as a mediator in explaining relationship between self-esteem and burnout. Conclusions: Our results provide evidence for the role of mindfulness in the relationship between self-esteem and burnout in professional nurses. Mindfulness appears to be a protective factor against nurses' burnout. The results of this study suggest that mindfulness training intervention suitable for nurses would be useful to reduce nurses' high levels of job burnout and risk of turnover and increase patients' satisfaction with their care.
