A Study on the Active Effection of Saenghwal Hanbok School Uniform for High School Students (고등학생의 생활한복 교복에 대한 동작적합성 평가)

  • We researched the comfort degree of 8 bodily parts while high school students carry out 9 different motions common to them. We observed high school students to study active effection when they are wearing Saenghwal Hanboks as a school uniform. As a result of this study, the highest degrees of comfort were recorded at standing position, walking, and upright sitting position with one's waist keeping 90 degree. On the other hand, the lowest degrees of comfort were experienced when they bend forward 45 degree and 90 degree each, and also when arms were folded across the chest. Furthermore, students reported that their buttocks, waist, and knees were comfortable during observation period, but that their backs, shoulders, and arm hole were uncomfortable throughout. In general, girls felt more comfortable than boys did, while they were wearing Saenghwal Hanbok as a school uniform.

Analysis of the Waistline and the Back Waist Point of Slacks Pattern for Optimizing the Range of Motion (동작적합성을 위한 슬랙스 패턴의 허리선 및 허리뒤점 설계에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to suggest a new way to approach measuring the waist line of slacks. The pattern formulated enables a construction method that optimizes motion. The method is based on the measurement on the length change of the body surface line. The research reveals: 1. The analysis of expansion and contraction by area showed that G8 markedly shrunk, whilst G15 maximally stretched during M4 motion. 2. The areas that stretched during M2 motion were, in order of size: G10, G17, G16, and G8. Conversely, the areas that shrunk are, in order, G9, G11, and G18. The areas that stretched during M3 motion were G10, G17, G16, G12, and G15; the areas that shrunk were G9, G11, G18, and G8. 3. In constructing the slacks pattern to allow for appropriate movement, we calculated the length between the knee and back of the waist, point (y), using Pythagoras’theorem and trigonometry. Satisfaction on Fitness and Motion Suitability of Korean Female Military Winter Jacket (한국 여자 군인 현 방한복의 치수 및 동작적합성 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigates the problems of fitness and motion suitability for Korean female military winter jackets (inner and outer) and provides data for new pattern development. We analyzed fitness and motion suitability by a questionnaire survey with 39 Korean female soldiers and a wearing evaluation with 8 subjects of the female soldeier's center size. The results of the study are as follows. 1. In the survey result on the fitness with female soldiers, fit of collar showed a score lower than 3.0 for the inner jacket and front interscye breadth, chest circumference, collar height on the outer jacket. The result on the motion suitability showed that both the inner jacket and the outer jacket were above 3.0 (moderate), indicating that the dissatisfactory factors were not large. 2. The wearing evaluation results with the subjects of central army female size, discomfort factor derived the chest circumference, neck circumference, item of the hem circumference and collar height on the outer jacket. This study is meaningful in evaluating the current military winter jacket of female soldiers and it is expected to be used as a basic data for future pattern improvement of military winter jacket for female soldiers.

Evaluation of Appearance and Optimal for Motion According to the Back Waist Point of Slacks Pattern (슬랙스 패턴의 허리뒤점 설계에 따른 외관 및 동작적합성 평가)

  • This research suggests pattern design methods for motion through an evaluation of the appearance and motion of three existing kinds of original patterns (K type, N type, and L type) and modified patterns designed by the researcher. The results of the study are as follows. First, the evaluation of appearances showed that the modified patterns of a standing posture received a higher evaluation compared to the original patterns only in N type and in a sitting posture. In addition, the degree of lowering or a natural feel by the pulling of the slacks waist belt in a sitting posture received a higher evaluation than the original patterns. Second, the evaluation of motions showed that modified patterns received a higher evaluation than the original patterns in almost all items. Per each pattern, it showed meaningful differences in questions asking about the degree of comfort as the whole in N type in crouching motions. The L type showed low scores as a whole (both in original patterns and modified patterns) and the K type showed meaningful differences in questions asking about the degree of comfort of the crista iliaca and groin region in the motion of walking at a normal walking pace, ascending stairs and bending the waist 90 degree to the front. Third, the measuring distance the between back waist point of the body and the back waist point of original patterns and modified patterns during motions showed that the modified patterns of all three patterns (N type, L type, and K type) showed less lowering compared to the original forms in the whole pattern as well as individual patterns. The design method of back waist point developed in this research can be regarded as a design method appropriate for motions.

Satisfaction on Fitness and Motion Suitability of Korean male Military Winter Jacket (한국 남자 군인 현 방한복의 치수, 동작적합성 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigates the problems of fitness and motion suitability for Korean male military winter jackets (inner and outer) and provides data for new pattern development. We analyzed fitness and motion suitability by a questionnaire survey with 140 Korean male soldiers and a wearing evaluation with 7 subjects of central army male size. A survey of male soldiers indicated that the fitness and motion suitability satisfaction was over 3.0 (Likert scale) for both inner and outer jackets. There were opinions that the sleeve length was short for the inner jacket and the waist girth and hem girth was slightly large for the outer jacket. In the wearing evaluation results with subjects of central army male size, fitness of total length, sleeve length and collar height showed a score lower than 3.0 for the inner jacket and collar height on the outer jacket. The motion suitability result showed a low score (1.0-2.0) in an arm raising motion for the inner jacket and 2.0-3.0 at neck motion in the outer jacket. In conclusion, there is more dissatisfaction in inner jackets than outer jackets. For the inner jacket, sleeve is short, sleeve hem is narrow, collar height is a little high and the sleeve creeps up during arm motion. The waist girth and hem girth was slightly large and collar height was a little high for the outer jacket.

A Study on the Women's Bodysuit Sleeve Block Construction Using Stretch fabrics (Stretch 소재를 사용한 여성용 Bodysuit Sleeve 원형 설계에 관한 연구)

  • The study aimed firstly, to develop the women's bodysuit sleeve block construction method adopting the appropriate pattern reduction rates according to the fabric stretch property. Secondly, the details applied to the bodysuit sleeve block drafting (Dr the educational and industrial usage were proposed. For these, several distinguishing bodysuit sleeve pattern making methods(i.e. Joseph-Armstrong: T1, Shoben & Ward: T2, Esmod: T3 and Mixed Joseph-Armstrong: T4) were analyzed and divided into two categories that adopt 1) the equally (i.e., T1) and 2) the differently(i.e., T2, T3 & T4) distributed front and back armhole length measurements. Women's sleeve samples were made for the research using the same stretch fabric($50\%\;and\; 70\%$ in wale and course each) to the previous research. A group comprising 5 relevant experts evaluated the fit and comfort features of the samples. Experiments analyzed the appearance of sleeve samples focused on total 13 evaluation parts(including the front/side/back fit tolerance, sleeve centre line, sleeve length, appropriateness of the sleeve appearance balanced with the bodysuit and etc.): and performed the comfort test evaluating three kinds(vertical-front/vertical-side/ horizontal) of arm movements. The most appropriate bodysuit sleeve to fulfil the original aims of the study was suggested. The findings and suggestions throughout the study were: 1) the measurements and required reduction rates for the bodysuit sleeve block developed: outer sleeve length (with 1.0 RR), crown height(with 0.7 RR), front and back armhole lengths measured on the bodysuit blocks ($0\%$ ease amount), elbow width(0.9/0.95 RR), wrist girth measurements(from $12\%\;to\;18\%$ tolerances can be given to): and 2) the differently distributed front and back armhole length measurements resulted in the better fit and comfort through the research.

Energy Saving Effects of Underground Rock Storage System for Heating of Greenhouse (자갈축열 태양열 온실의 난방에너지 절감효과)

  • 자연에너지원중 태양에너지를 이용한 자갈축열 태양열 온실의 난방에너지 절감효과를 분석하기 위하여 야간에 내부설정온도를 18℃로 했을 때의 자갈축열 태양열 온실과 동일한 제원의 대조온실의 난방연료소비량을 비교하였다. 자갈축열 태양열 온실의 경우 난방초기에는 연료가 대조온실에 비해 약 10%정도 더 소모되었으나 2일이 경과한 후에는 점차 난방연료소비량이 감소하였다(Fig. 2) 이러한 결과는 자갈축열 태양열 온실의 경우 주간에 온실에 투여되는 일사에 의해 축열이 이루어 질뿐만 아니라 야간에 난방을 할 경우에도 축열층의 온도가 설정온도에 도달할 때까지 축열이 이루지기 때문인 것으로 분석되었다 (Fig. 1). 3월 10일부터 3월 15일까지 6일간의 난방연료소비량이 대조온실은 167℃였으나, 자갈축열 태양열 온실은 109℃로써 대조온실에 비해 약 35%정도 난방연료 절감효과가 있는 것으로 분석되었다(Fig. 2). 6일간의 난방 후 자갈축열 태양열 온실에 난방을 중단한 결과 온실외부의 최저기온이 -2.4℃일 때 자갈축열 태양열 온실의 내부최저온도는 14℃를 유지하였으며, 이후 계속 난방을 수행하지 않은 상태에서도 주간에 축열효과로 인하여 최저외기온이 3℃전후일 때 자갈축열 태양열 온실의 내부온도는 15℃를 유지하였으나 대조온실은 5℃ 전후였다. 그리고, 일기온차가 심한 3월말에는 야간설정온도가 18℃인 경우에 자갈축열 태양열 온실의 난방연료소비량이 대조온실에 비해 월등히 적음을 알 수 있었다(Fig. 1, 2). 3월에 자갈축열 태양열 온실의 난방연료소비량은 대조온실에 비해 약 50%이상의 절감효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다./TEX>3.1cm, 2cm$\times$4.2cm 순으로 나타났다. 5. 저고리의 옆길이 곡선에 대한 평가는 진종의 중심인 겨드랑이가 5cm인 것이 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났으며, 그 다음으로 4cm, 6cm, 3cm 순으로 나타났다. 6. 이에 위의 항목들을 종합하여 제작한 연구저고리는 등길이가 28cm, 어깨선 위치는 1.75cm, 깃크기는 5cm$\times$21.5cm, 소매통 크기는 3cm$\times$4.3cm, 옆길이 곡선은 5cm로써 그 형태에 따른 신체적합성에 대한 외관 관능검사 결과로 3.83의 평균값으로 나타났고, 심미성에 대한 외관 관능검사를 항목별 평균치 값으로 종합하면 4.00의 값으로 나타났다. 또한 각 부위별 동작적합성 관능검사는 7가지 동작을 부위별 항목 평균치 결과 3.95의 유수한 저고리로 평가되었다. 본 연구 실험 결과 앞으로도 전통 저고리를 피복함에 있어 외관과 동작적합성이 좋은 저고리를 만들기 위해 지속적 연구가 요청된다. turned back than the Korean women's. Development and Evaluation of Ergonomic Patterns for Korean Female Soldier's Winter Jacket (한국 여자 군인 방한복의 인간공학적 패턴 개발 및 평가)

  • This study developed an ergonomic Korean female military winter jacket and (inner and outer) pattern in in order to increase dimension and operational suitability for military missions. First we developed the 1st development pattern and sample jackets with improved dimensions and operational suitability based on a previous investigation of fitness and motion suitability of Korean female military winter jackets (inner and outer) and motion suitability by a wearing test. The evaluation result of fitness for the 1st development pattern were over 4.0 (5.0 Likert scale) for both the inner and outer jacket, a positive result and the result of motion suitability were over 3.5 in both the inner and outer jacket except for the neck front part by collar height. However, we did not modify the collar height because decreases in warmth and military regulations. We also evaluated appearance by experts that showed good results in both the inner and outer jacket. Finally, we developed a final pattern based on evaluation results and military regulations. Existing military uniform research was conducted mainly on male soldiers. Beginning with this study, we expect to expand research on the development of military uniform patterns suitable for a female soldier body type.

Development of Ergonomic Korean Male Military Winter Jacket (한국 남자 군인 방한복의 인간공학적 패턴 개발)

  • This study was to develop an ergonomic Korean male military winter jackets (inner and outer) pattern. First, we developed a prototype pattern and sample jackets based on a previous investigation for fitness and motion suitability of Korean male military winter jackets and evaluated fitness and motion suitability by a wearing test. The evaluation results were positive with an over 3.0 (5.0 Likert scale) for both the inner and outer jacket. However, a relatively low score was shown in the sleeve length and collar front height at the inner jacket and shown in hem circumference, neck circumference, elbow and front neck at the outer jacket. Next, we developed the secondary pattern and sample jacket reflecting the prototype evaluation result and executed expert evaluation. The result showed that the ease amount was appropriate (except for the collar back height) and the appearance was good. Finally, we developed a final pattern that showed good results after evaluation at a Korean military army base.

A Study on Clothing Adaptability to Arm Movements and the Aesthetic Evaluation According to the Armhole Depth of Bodice Pattern (진동깊이에 따른 길원형의 동작 적합성 및 심미성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the most appropriate arm-hole depth in 9 positions of arm movements. This subjects were four females, college students aged 18 to 23 years old. The clothing size 55 was used for this study. In the experiments for the investigation of the arm-hole depth, the evaluations were performed for aesthetic view, clothing adaptability to arm movements, and quantity of materials pulled up by 9 movements of arm. The results of this study were as follows: 1) In the aesthetic evaluation, there were no significant differences in arm-hole depths. 2) In the evaluation of clothing adaptability to arm movements, the experiment clothes, in which-arm-hole depths were raised, had more positive evaluations especially with the increasing the angle of arm movements. 3) In the evaluation of clothing adaptability to each body areas, there were no significant differences in all body areas except upper arm circumference blade. 4) In the evaluation of quantity of materials pulled up by arm movements, the clothes of B/4-2 arm-hole depth had the least amount pulled up by arm movements, which showed the highest adaptability to arm movement.
