The purpose of this study is to establish the concept of the evidence-based pediatric dentistry and to investigate the application methods of it. The definition of the evidence-based pediatric dentistry was suggested as 'the integration of the best scientific research evidence with the professional expertise of pediatric dentist and the value of pediatric patients and their caregivers in dental practice for the child and adolescent'. The methods of practising evidence-based pediatric dentistry were investigated, the recent conclusions of the evidence-based pediatric dentistry were summarized by topics, the research methods of systemic review and clinical practice guidlines were analyzed, and the individual research methods as randomized controlled trials were investigated. The author proposed increasing the understanding and consensus of the necessity of evidence-based pediatric dentistry, education about the evidence-based pediatric dentistry, computerization of all published articles of Korean pediatrtic dentistry, continuing research and popularization of systemic research and clinical practice guidlines, production of Korea's own evidences of pediatric dentistry, and the improvement of soical environment of pediatric practice.

본 연구는 물리치료학과 학생들을 대상으로 근거중심의 학습을 통해 학습 이해도와 성취도, 실무능력을 증진시키고자 하는 연구를 실시하였다. 과학적이고 근거중심의 단계별 수업을 이수한 1학년 대상자인 17명이 연구에 참여하였고, 남자와 여자로 구분하여 강의전, 후로 나누었다. 성별에 따른 성취도 분석과 강의 전, 후에 따른 근거중심 학습의 효용성에 관한 특성을 비교하였다. 통계처리 방법으로 실험 전 후 차이를 검증하였고, 모든 통계적 유의수준은 0.05로 하였다. 본 연구의 결과 근거중심 학습의 필요성, 학습 시너지 효과, 전문학술지 접근도에서 강의 전에 비해 후에 유의한 감소를 보였다. 향후 저학년인 1, 2학년 물리치료학과 학생들에게 흥미를 유발하고 동기를 부여하여 저널 탐색을 통한 임상 물리치료에 대한 접근도를 강화시킬 필요가 있고 이를 통해 이론중심의 수업보다 실무중심의 명확한 근거 위주의 수업을 지향해야 할 필요성이 있다고 생각한다.

The purpose of this study is to apply the evidence-based library and information practice(EBLIP) in Korean librarianship with analysis of concepts and research method on EBLIP. EBLIP seeks to improve library practice by utilising the best available evidence in conjunction with a pragmatic perspective developed from working experiences in librarianship. The EBLIP focused on the medicine library, however, it is spread to academic, special, school library. EBLIP process can be described through its five stage: formulate a question, find evidence, critically appraise the evidence, apply results of appraisal, evaluate change, redefine problem. It provides a standardized methodology of systematic review, which is a best evidence in EBLIP and is a new mixed research method.

본 논문은 근거중심 대체의학의 현황과 범위를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구방법: 2000년부터 2010년 3월까지 Pubmed에 게재된 논문 중 alternative medicine으로 검색하여 체계적 고찰을 하였다. 2000년부터 2010년 현재까지 근거중심 대체의학에 대한 다양한 연구결과을 통합하기 위해 체계적 문헌고찰을 실시하였다. 682편의 연구 중 대체의학에 관한 임상연구는 19개였으며 연구전체 대상자는 2,573명이었다. 논문분석 결과 RCT(Randomized Controlled Trial) 실험 설계연구가 44%였으며 CCT(Controlled Clinical Trials)가 16%, OD(efficacy studies with either a controlled or an Other than controlled Design) 40%였다. 가장 많은 임상실험이 시행된 중재 방법은 Acupuncture과 Massage 였다. 대상 질병군 분포는 근골격계 및 결합조직의 질환과 관련된 '통증 완화'에 대한 임상연구가 20%, 다음으로 특정 감염성 및 기생충성 질환, 신생물이 각각 15% 순이었다. 근거중심 대체의학 현황을 파악하고자 체계적으로 고찰한 결과 대체의학을 통한 중재가 질병치료에 효과가 있는지에 대한 과학적 근거를 제시한 임상연구가 부족하다. 대체의학의 품질, 안정성, 유효성 확보를 위해 대체의학에 대한 질 높은 연구필요하며 근거중심 대체의학의 활성화가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

The purpose of this research is to evaluate patient's satisfaction and clinician' knowledge level about pain, nausea, vomiting, and temperature management of patients after operation by develop an web-based evidence-based practice guideline about pain, nausea, vomiting, and temperature control after operation in order to apply the guideline operation patients. The collected data was analyzed through real number, average, standard deviation, t-test and repeated ANOVA by using SPSS/WIN 17.0 program. The study subjects showed a significant difference in the level of knowledge about pain, nausea/vomiting, and temperature control after operation and patient's satisfaction, before and after applying the web-based evidence-based practice guideline.

This study was to investigate the level of knowledge and adherence to EBP guidelines for hemodialysis among nurses in dialysis units. Self-administered questionnaire was used that data were collected. The sample consisted of 173 nurses who worked in hemodialysis units located in three different district areas in Korea. Using SPSS/WIN 20.0, t-test, ANOVA and Scheff's analysis were performed. About 98.8% of nurses in dialysis units had received education mostly from dialysis conferences or symposium. The knowledge score for EBP was 15.77 (out of 23) on average. Subjects with more than 8 years of work experience, master degree and those working in tertiary hospital showed significantly higher scores. Despite that there are internationally acknowledge evidence based guidelines for hemodialysis, the actual adherence to guidelines varies by experience, education level and types of hospital. The findings of this study can be baseline data for further research into development of strategies to enhance knowledge of hemodialysis nurses and utilization of EBP guidelines.

EBLIP seeks to improve library practice by utilizing the best available evidence in conjunction with a pragmatic perspective developed from working experiences in librarianship. The purpose of this study is to apply the evidence-based library and information practice(EBLIP) in Korean librarianship with encouraging the practitioners to publish in their workplace. Content analysis on papers accepted for publication among five LIS journals and focus group interview were performed in order to investigate the contexts and perceptions on the publishing activities of practicing librarians. While the proportion of papers that librarians wrote was calculated at 26 percent among the sample, the percentage of papers with librarians as a single author was only 9.2. Significant obstacles for librarians to publish papers due to organizational level were observed. The author suggests organizational support and better framework for communicating research based on practice such as publication of evidence-based practical journal and the adoption of structural abstract. The findings reinforce the importance of teaching rigorous research methods in workplace.
