  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the nursing behavior and delegation status of nursing hospital nurses and to provide basic data for improving the quality of medical services. The subjects of this study were data collected from July 26 to December 23, 2013, for 140 nurses with more than 3 years of experience in nursing hospitals. Collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, mean and standard deviation, independent t-test and One way ANOVA of SPSS 20.0 statistical program. Collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, mean and standard deviation, independent t-test and one way ANOVA of SPSS 20.0 statistical program.. As a result of this study, the case of delegation of nursing behavior was higher in case of no protocol of nursing delegation procedure than in case of having protocol. This study suggests that nursing practice of nursing hospital nurses can be a major factor in declining the quality of medical services in the absence of specified standards or procedures for delegation. Procedures, methods and guidelines are required.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate hospital nurses' attitude toward migrant wives, the nurses' cultural knowledge, and their cultural nursing behavior, to analyze the relations between them, and to find the factors influencing their cultural nursing behavior. A questionnaire was given to 161 nurses in two general hospital in S city from April 1 to April 30, 2017. The results were evaluated by the SPSS/SIN 21.0 program. As a result, the hospital nurses' attitude toward immigrant wives scored 2.70 out of 4 points; cultural knowledge 0.51 out of 1 points; their cultural nursing behavior 3.04 out of 5 points. Cultural nursing behavior has significantly positive correlation with their cultural knowledge. Cultural knowledge, religion, and position in hospital were found to be the factors influencing their cultural nursing behavior. These influential factors explained their cultural nursing behavior 20.9%. In order to improve hospital nurses' cultural nursing behavior, it is necessary to provide continuous multi-cultural education to improve their knowledge, and to offer various convergence programs to give them more opportunities to interact multi-cultural persons.

  • This is a descriptive research study aimed to investigate the relationship between health promoting behaviors, and some factors such as family function, health perception, and self - efficacy of nursing college students and identify the factors affecting health promoting behaviors. Results showed that family function, health perception, and self - efficacy were correlated with health promoting behaviors. Regression analysis showed that family function, health perception, and self - efficacy seemed to explain 37.7% of health promoting behaviors. Thus, as family function, health perception, and self-efficacy are important factors that affect health promoting behaviors of nursing college students, it is necessary to develop a health education program considering family function, health perception, and self-efficacy to promote desirable health promoting behaviors. In the follow-up study, it is necessary to expand the study subjects and the results of such studies should be applied to the development of programs aimed at promoting the health of nursing college students, and further studies should be conducted to verify the effectiveness of those programs.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify nursing students' knowledge, attitudes, and optimism bias about cancer, and the degree of national cancer prevention health behavior and to identify factors affecting cancer prevention behaviors. The data were collected from June 3 to June 28, 2020 for 241 nursing college students at J-C University. As a result of the study, nursing students' knowledge of cancer was 23.28±5.62 points, attitude was 40.33±8.15 points, optimistic bias was -.13±1.48 points, and national cancer prevention health behavior was 3.47±.59 points. National cancer prevention health behaviors of nursing students correlated with knowledge, attitudes, and optimistic biases on cancer. Among them, variables affecting cancer prevention health behaviors are attitudes toward cancer and optimism bias, which is 37.0 %. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a program to increase attitudes toward cancer and reduce optimism, and to practice cancer prevention health behaviors by reducing biases through positive attitudes and awareness of the importance of health behaviors through systematic and continuous education.

  • This study investigated predictors of the behavior related to particulate matter in nursing students. The participants in this descriptive study were 186 nursing students at K university in G city from May 1 to 14 in 2018. Collected data were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression using SPSS WIN 18.0 program. The level of knowledge(10.6/15), attitude(59.94/75) and behavior(42.56/60) were relatively high. The significant predictors of the behavior were attitude(β=.591, p<.001), smoking(β=-.134, p=.049) and respiratory disease(β=.133, p=.025), and explained 40.1% of it. Educational programs to enhance nursing students' health promoting behaviors against particulate matter must be focused on attitude change.
